Greenfield Village

We are so fortunate to have this collection of Americana in our backyard. A fall favorite is wandering thru the Village at a time when it is less crowded and enjoying a walk backward in time. It seems almost sacrilegious to feel rushed when visiting. They were cooking at the Ford Home, the Sasquahanna Plantation, the Firestone Farm and at the Daggett House. You would think that gas ovens and stoves and microwaves and dishwashers and all our modern conveniences would allow us to enjoy life just a little more and yet everything seems to be rushed to such a point that we eat in our cars racing from one place to another. Back to the future anyone?
