The Rush Limbaugh kerfuffle surrounding his participation in a group attempting to but the NFL St. Louis Rams is another fine example of liberal media bias. Limbaugh has been accused of saying that “slavery was a good thing”, James Earl Ray should receive a medal and a number of other things so outrageous you would think any responsible journalist would have checked the source for these quotes and questioned whether they were propagating another urban legend. But they didn’t, they ran with their preconceptions, slandered the character of someone who has endlessly promoted the notion that character counts and let the chips fall where they may. Some have admitted they were wrong, CNN’s Rick Sanchez for one has publicly apologized. We can only hope and pray that Sanchez and all the others realize they are also guilty of stereotyping those who do not hold their views as racist, white supremacists and endeavor to keep own biases out of the news.
