Somewhere in the past couple of years I came across an article which stated that every single incident of international terrorism, terrorists leaving their country and striking in another, has been committed by Muslim men between the ages of 18 -35 years old. The Mumbai assault continues that dubious record and yet the blame America crowd led this time by Deepak Chopra dutifully trots out their tune oblivious to the inconvenient truth that something within Islam lends itself to the most destructive human behavior possible. Living here in Dearborn, MI I can testify that Muslims are a reasonable, honest, hard working, family oriented people. And yet we are confronted with a consistent pattern of terrorists who embrace Islam as the defining characteristic of their life, the thing which animates their being and propels them to act without compunction for the glory of a culture rooted in death. What is a civilized world to do? From where I sit the how and why of Islamic terrorism is something to discuss around the fire, the action we must take is simple; prevent, pursue and prosecute with passion this war on terror.
