The Church of the Holy Trinity opened at Fatima on October 12th. One might expect the church built to commemorate Mary appearing to 3 poor children and The Miracle of the Sun to evoke the wonder and awe of God. We are taught that the Mass is the source and summit of our faith, the one place on earth most like heaven, where we are surrounded by angels and the community of saints all participating in the heavenly worship of our Lord. This church evokes nothing of God, the wonder of His creation or the Blessed Virgin Mary. At my most charitable I think it would make the event planner at a convention hall proud.
