Study debunks theories on priests' sex abuse

"BALTIMORE -- Researchers at New York's John Jay College of Criminal Justice, reporting initial findings in their look into causes of the Catholic church's 2002 sexual-abuse scandal, yesterday said they can't attribute it to gay priests or seminaries for teenagers.
"We do not have data to support ... those assertions," said Karen Terry, lead researcher for the $1.8 million study commissioned by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, which is meeting this week in Baltimore."

If this wasn’t so serious it would be funny. It is absolutely preposterous to suggest these “not homosexual” priests suffered from a lack of sexual contact in such a fashion as to propel them to assault boys, against their natural sexual orientation. Because access to boys was easier than finding girls and /or women and no doubt having sex with a female would of course introduce another potential problem namely procreation, don’t want to be worried about contraception … right? Not having sex does not result in homosexual behavior any more than not drinking results in cirrhosis of the liver or not smoking results in lung cancer. The priests who assaulted these boys were homosexuals who have fallen for the whisperings of our culture in general and Satan in particular. They have done as much damage to The Church as a human being possibly could, may God save their eternal souls. As regards the report published by John Jay College it simply confirms the lack of intellectual respect the educational elites have for the everyman. They assume we will swallow whole whatever they offer. More is the pity.
